Questions about Mauritius eSIMs
When does my Mauritius eSIM start counting days?
Your validity days start when the eSIM first connects to a network in a covered destination. You can install it on Wi-Fi before you leave. If you're already in a country this package covers when you install, it may connect and start counting straight away, so install shortly before your trip.
How long do I have to install it?
Install it within 180 days of buying it. Your order page shows the exact "Install by" date. After that date, the eSIM can no longer be installed, so contact us if you're running late.
Does a Mauritius eSIM include a phone number or calls?
No. These eSIMs are data only: no phone number, calls or SMS. Apps that work over the internet, such as WhatsApp, run on the eSIM's data. You can keep your usual SIM on for calls and texts, but your usual carrier may charge for using its line abroad.
What happens when my data runs out?
Each package has a fixed amount of data for its whole validity. When it's used up, mobile data on this eSIM stops. Top-ups aren't available for these packages, so you'd buy a new package and install a new eSIM.
Can I share my data with a hotspot?
Our network partner hasn't confirmed hotspot use for these packages, so we can't promise it works. Each package shows "Hotspot" in its details. We'll update it if this changes.
Can I use my Mauritius eSIM in other countries?
A Mauritius package works only in Mauritius. If your trip includes other countries, these packages also cover Mauritius: Global and Africa. Check each package's country list before you buy.
